The Library has been fortunate enough to be donated some excellent books from the earliest days of Contract Bridge. These are 5 nicely bound volumes of Bridge World – the Ely Culbertson magazine – for the years 1933 to 1938. These include humorous articles and cartoons.
The factual data includes surprising evidence for the scale of interest and participation in Bridge in these early days. These volumes are available on loan to anyone interested. Please contact me.
