Welcome to Sheffield Bridge Club

Welcome

We are a friendly club and subscribe to the "Best Behaviour at Bridge" policy of the English Bridge Union.

Our aim is that, whether you win or lose, you enjoy your time with us. Whatever your standard, from beginner to Grand Master, we hope you will find we have sessions which suit you. The results for each session are normally available within a few minutes of the end of play.

We trust that you will want to return and look forward to welcoming you again at our Club.

Programme

Duplicate Bridge sessions for club members are held at the club throughout the week. See our club calendar for details.

The Club operates a Standby System. We try to arrange that a Club member attends each session as a volunteer so that anyone may come without a partner and be guaranteed a game. Please check the stand-by list to see whether a standby is available at a particular session.

Membership and Table Fees

Sheffield Bridge Club continues to offer exceptional value for money, with playing sessions only costing £3 per person (for members).

The Annual Membership Fee has been reduced to only £24. If you apply to join as a new member between 1 February and 30 April in any year, you would pay £12 to join. If you apply to join as a new member between 1 May and 31 July, there is no charge for membership till the end of the club year on 31 July.

You are welcome to play as a visitor on up to three occasions, after which you will probably be asked to apply for membership. The table fee for visitors is £4.00.
