Sheffield Bridge Club offers lessons and guided playing sessions for a range of abilities - from "absolute beginners" through "improvers" to "intermediates" and beyond - all in a friendly & welcoming atmosphere.
The club also offers some friendly sessions of gently competitive bridge, aimed at players with less experience who are wanting to make the step-up from their classes. See below / the club calendar for details.
Two new beginners courses are starting in September 2018.
Tuesday 19:00 - 21:00 (Lesson)
Lessons for complete beginners with Dom Rayner will commence on Tuesday 25th September.
Classes will cost £8 and be payable on a week-by-week basis. The initial course will spend the first few weeks focusing on mini-bridge and card play, and then follow on with different aspects of bidding. After 12 weeks you can expect to have a solid grasp of the fundamentals after which lessons will continue on for all who wish to continue to learn.
Ian & Julie Grant will be starting another of their courses for beginners on Thursday 13th September.
These beginners courses assume no knowledge and will gently guide you through the basics of card play and bidding. Students then progress on from structured lessons into supervised play sessions. Cost for the initial six-week primer is £48, which follows the first week's free taster session.
