No fewer than six Sheffield players were participating in this EBU event for the respective 2018/19 holders of the teams-of-four Championship of each County Association.

The Yorkshire team comprised Dr. Arthur Hughes, Mike Pomfrey, Sandy Davies and Tom Gisborn. Roman Gembecki was in Derbyshire's team, and Tony Sowter was representing Nottinghamshire.

Twenty-nine teams were competing. The event was won by Manchester. Yorkshire came a creditable 8th, just ahead of Notts.
Arthur and Mike finished 13th ex 60 in the pairs cross-IMPing, just below Tony (playing wiith Willie Crook).
