Maire Reilly arranged for a display of Bridge which was held in the Winter Gardens on 10 December. Some members played a few hands whilst others leafletted passers-by and encouraged them to visit the Bridge tables. Quite a few did and chatted to the players and a couple even sat in and played. It is hoped the Star will feature the occasion - they have been sent photographs.

The Open Day took place as planned on 11 December with 25 visitors coming along including a number of youngsters. The atmosphere was very positive. Apart from several committee members who turned up, the support of Alison Bloxham, Mary Cousins, Richard Gilbert, Ian Grant, Julie Grant, Maire Reilly, Dominic Rayner and Jean Rodgers was much appreciated.
