We have received the sad new that Pam Lawson died peacefully at Ashgate Hospice on the morning of the 27th March.

 

Tony Long writes:

 

"Pam was a vibrant and positive individual and learned to play bridge with Dom along with me and Julie around COVID time. She loved her bridge and despite not feeling well (with her undiagnosed cancer) filled in to play in one of the Waddington league matches as recently as the 3rd February.

 

She loved Saturday afternoon sessions and often said there would be a bigger turn out on other occasions if more cake was available!

 

She will be a great loss to the club."

 

 

The funeral will be on Wednesday 16th April at Hutcliffe Wood crematorium at 10.30, and afterwards at Dore and Totley golf club. Everyone  to wear what they feel comfortable with. Black is optional. No flowers please, but if anyone wishes to make a donation, they can do so to Ashgate Hospice on the day or afterwards.
