The committee has received quite a few requests for a more sociable and less intense game suitable for beginners but taking place in the evening so that those still unfortunate enough to be working can take part.

We are, therefore, pleased to announce that a new duplicate session will be starting on Thursday evenings from 15th August. It will start at the same time as the existing session (7:10pm) but will be targeted at less experienced players and will be particularly suitable for those who have just finished lessons and are looking to move up to main stream duplicate bridge sessions. Ian Grant has agreed to direct the session so those new to the game can be assured of a friendly, gentle introduction to the world of Duplicate.

Alas, the regrettable consequence of this is that Ian will no longer be able to run any beginners' classes on Thursday evenings. Anyone interested in learning should head on over to Dom's classes instead.
