Jean Rodgers and Barrie Partridge have won the Bears Teams Trophy at the annual Bridge Club Live congress which this year took place at Lido Di Jesolo near Venice. Their score of +67 IMPs over 24 boards was only 3 IMPs ahead of the second placed team! Team mates were Sue Hall from Cornwall and Said Kablawi from Abu Dhabi. 

Jean and Barrie also won the Early-Birds Pairs. 

For the August edition of English Bridge, Barrie has written about a hand he declared in which he went 7 off in a 3H contract despite a 4-4 trump fit (obviously with a different partner and not Jean!).
