Pete Waterman & Martin White continued where they left off in the Lord Mayor's Swiss Pairs by again not losing a single match to take the New Year Swiss Pairs with 80 VP out of 100 VP and by a margin of 10 VP ahead of Sue Lloyd & Barrie Partridge. Equal third were Ian & Julie Grant and Mary Cousins & Graham White on 66 VP
