The regular Thursday afternoon session on 26 April will serve also as a qualifying round for the annual Northern Counties Regional Improvers Pairs. The top 50% of those pairs whose players are ranked below "Master" will qualify for the final to be held at York Bridge Club simultaneously with three other venues in the North of England on Sunday 13 May at 2pm.
