Reigning 2015 champions in the pairs event, Frank Littlewood and Dave Musson didn't quite rediscover their mojo and had to relinquish the title this year. The trophy almost returned to Sheffield courtesy of Tom Gisborne and Sandy Davies but they just fell short, finishing second in the Pairs' "A" final.

The two pairs did one better whern combining in the Swiss Teams event however. They won six of their seven matches to finish on 103 VPs, and won the event by 4 VPs.
