Teams events are starting up again for the 2026/27 season and entries are invited from players of all standards:

• SBC's Waddington League is a local league between teams of four (or more). 24-board matches are played on Monday nights over approximately five or six evenings throughout the winter.
• The EBU's National Inter Club Knock Out (NICKO) is a popular national tournament. Matches are arranged privately and consist of 24 boards in early rounds, increasing to 32 or 48 boards for the last few rounds. Early rounds are online &/or regional so travelling is minimised. Teams who lose in the first round enter the consolation "plate" competition so everyone is guarenteed at least two matches.
