Congratulations to Arthur Hughes and David Fletcher on a clear win in yesterday's Swiss Pairs. In second placw were Rob and Rosemary Woolham, and these two pairs also win the handicap prizes on the basis of best improvements in National Grades from playing in the event.

My special thanks go to Simon for scoring and co-directing. To round off a good day for the Woolhams, Simon came 3rd, partnering Russ de Haney.

Apologies for a later than expected finish, which was due to a printer that had a mind of it's own, a bridge-mate that decided that a table was sitting out when it wasn't, a player arriving late, and two judgement rulings needed. Oh, and a pair looking at the cards in three boards that they thought they would be sitting out, but weren't. Having an odd number of pairs slightly complicates things too. But apart from that there were no problems at all!

I resolved the last needed ruling today and the results posted on this site are now final.

The recalcitrant bridge-mate and printer have received a severe admonishment.
