Congratulations to Julie and Ian Grant on winning the Isle of Mann Congress Swiss Pairs by a huge margin. There were 60 pairs playing seven matches of six boards each. Their 64.51% score is quite impressive over 42 boards, and nearly 6% ahead of second place. Unusually for a Swiss event, it was possible to be drawn against pairs you had already played, and Julie and Ian played the last three matches against the same pair, as both pairs were way ahead of the rest of the field!
