Leagues Operating Group

The Leagues Operating Group (LOG), under the jurisdiction of the Club Committee, organises and administers all aspects of the club teams who play in the three leagues.

Yorkshire League

About ninety teams, located all over Yorkshire, play in the Yorkshire League (often called the InterCities). They are currently divided into 10 Divisions. About 7 matches are played in each Division, on Sunday afternoon/evening, between October and March.
Nine teams representing Sheffield Bridge Club compete in the Yorkshire League. Further details of fixtures, results etc are available from the YCBA website.
Any pair who would like to play in the Yorkshire League, or who wish to be considered for selection to a Team in a Division higher than the one in which they currently play, should contact Ian Johns [e-mail to log2@sheffieldbridgeclub.co.uk]

Open and Waddington Leagues

LOG also organises the Open League and the Waddington League. These Leagues are divided into 3 or 4 Divisions. Matches, about 6 in number, are played on Monday evenings between October and March. Team members do not have to be members of SBC although Waddington players must be EBU members. Waddington teams may have up to 6 players. Open teams may have any number of players For each league, no-one may play for more than one team in the season.
