Summer Pro-Am

The summer season of Pro-Ams will start on Tuesday, 4th June from 1:00pm to around 3:30pm and is expected to continue on the 1st Tuesday of each month. This is a trial for this year to avoid clashing with Monday evening teaching sessions.

In order to be considered a 'pro' you need to be no longer attending lessons and play duplicate on a fairly regular basis. In order for this to be of benefit to new and inexperienced players and to build their confidence the ‘Pro’ is asked to play the the system that the ‘Am’ has been taught and is used to playing and to only give advice when requested.

Please sign up if you are interested, whether you consider yourself a 'pro' or an 'am' - the more the merrier!

New Beginners' Classes

Dominic Rayner’s new course for beginners will be starting on Tuesday evening, 17th September (7:15 - 9:15pm) at the club. If you know of anyone wishing to take up the game please let them know. Dominic can be contacted via teaching1@sheffieldbridgeclub.co.uk or visit https://www.allthingsbridge.co.uk/

Monthly Masterclass

Dominic is running a series of monthly Masterclasses.

These occur on the last Thursday of the month. Start time 10am prompt, finish time appx 12.30 (so not to clash with the afternoon session folks coming in). £10 per session.

Intended for anyone with NGS in the 50's or high 40's - or anyone who wants to win at bridge!

After-school club

Sheffield Bridge Club runs a Children’s Club from 4:00 to 6:00pm every Friday afternoon. The Club is run by Graham Jepson with help from club members. At least two adults at each session are DBS checked. The children play many different card games designed to familiarise them with the ranks and suits of a pack of cards and leads on to the playing of Minibridge and eventually Contract Bridge.

Regretfully, children under the age of eight can not be accommodated.

For further information please contact schools@sheffieldbridgeclub.co.uk

The Club maintains a fully comprehensive Safeguarding Policy - a copy of which can be found here.
